CULT初のオリジナル・オーバードライブ・ペダル“Ray”。既にカテゴライズされているサウンドキャラクターを目指しておらず、Ray = 光線 という言葉のイメージに合致する、繊細さと力強さを兼ね備えたドライブサウンドを作ることを目的としています。タッチレスポンス、アタックの速さをまず重視し、それに相反するはずの太さや粘り、心地良いコンプ感も感じさせる、汎用性の高いモダンなオーバードライブ。それを実現する回路はRayのためのオリジナルであり、陳腐な言葉ながら、“～～系”といったジャンルには属しません。
